No. "WE" don't all pay taxes. 47% pay none. And the top 20% pay about 70% of the total. There is no concept of "WE" when it comes to taxes.

Serious question, since I'm not really a history buff and not really that big of a political buff.
Aside from federal monies being potentially funded to controversial social issues, has any executive administration (D or R) in the past 20 years made any serious attempts to actually limit or expand social issues such as abortions, gay marriage, etc.
