I feel for the fishermen 50 years from now. They will be tangled in fishing line every cast.

Fishing line 600 years? If I leave line on my reel more than a year or two, I start breaking off left and right.

I have seen lots of tires. Pisses me off when I see cans thrown out of boats.

Pisses me off to see people litter period. At least in the streets in can be picked up but the water just gets destroyed. You don't see people littering in the water up here. Wish everyone was like that.

I am definitely not proud of how people are in louisiana. Trash everywhere. It is nice going places and seeing clean cities but also depressing that it isn't that way here.

it amazes me how people who consider themselves outdoorsmen, or even if they don't consider themselves "outdoorsmen" enjoy spending time in the outdoors can litter like that. Sure, shite happens occasionally, I've forgotten a chip bag or empty can on the deck and taken off or had a random thing blow out that I forgot about, but to do that shite routinely and on purpose is hypocritcal, short sighted and stupid. I don't even throw cigarettes out. I flick the cherry and tobacco out and pocket the butt to throw away later.

From time to time, this redneck Cenla chicken farmer goes offshore with us and he always throws crap in the water. You would think me grabbing it right back out of the water would tell him something, but he's just an old hick that doesn't give a shite about anything. If I owned the boat, he would have only made one trip. Thankfully, I think the owner is finally tired of his belligerence out there (banging the hull with gaffs and whatnot).

Somewhat... alot of the trash in our waterways is due to street trash being carried through rain drainage. It all ends up in a lake or the Gulf eventually if rain catches it.
