I think he's tried to be a bit kinder and gentler in the last 3 or so challenges but his douchey reputation was so well established early on that I couldn't imagine EVER liking him.

I think the best challenges are like that one season on an island when they had to "win" a duel to be eligible for the final challenge, and they could win other people's money (possibly cuthroat?).
This is shaping up to be the worst challenge ever and that's too bad considering this is the only time all year, I'll tune into MTV.
I also never understand why the 3rd and 4th group of the alliance don't split up early in the season. Clearly the newest Real World and Las Vegas would be better served to go ahead and break up the Cancun/San Diego alliance now rather than let them start picking them off.

Also the worst time for that to happen considering this one almost didn't...remember MTV was thinking about shutting down the Challenge franchise earlier this year.

That would be a shame. Might be one reason there are so many rookies is to make it cheaper for them. Going to someplace like Turkey just doesn't make sense though if they are trying to reign in the costs.

I'll still watch but I agree this season blows. It's not even a competition ... And at least if tey aren't gonna compete, might as well show lite debaucery 100 percent of the time

Are the ratings that low? I imagine this is a fairly costly show, but it should be cheaper than their scripted stuff. And I bet the Teen Moms get way more money than even the biggest Challenge stars.

Evan and Kenny who are on "probation" , Lawsuit Jonny, CT, Tonya, Crazy Paula, anyone else?
Of course you have to love CT but I'm getting sick of a lot of the other people I mentioned.

I read recently that the last 2 season got some of the best ratings they've ever had.
Maybe I'm alone, but I'm kind of enjoying this season so far. I would like to have a few more vets on here, but at some point they had to get some new blood in there.

I found this news story on ratings from the last challenge (battle of exes).
If you dont want to read it, battle of the exes had the best ratings in the challenge history.

The past few seasons have been highly entertaining but this one blows
At some point they need to have a best of the best and bring in a cast of 20 All-Stars from RW/RR history and put up a huge amount of money and let them go out it.

Thanks. I had read something similar a while back. Be interesting to see how this one does.
The one thing that I haven't liked about this one, and some others have posted on this as well, is that they are able to rig these challenges too easy to just throw one team out. Camilla was right to bitch about that last night.
