Which is fine, but he doesn't seem to do it for the right reasons, at least on here. Shit, I remember the original thread when he first joined, he was on here making all kinds of "lol" statements and even went as far as making rape jokes and shite like that. It was just incredibly fricking weird. And even then, it wasn't to promote the anti-abuse/molestation stance but seemingly more to be like "OMG that's meeee!! I'm Jody!! lol" and go on to tell us all of the TV shows he had been on and shite.

It does, but the way Jody is on here is just odd to me
Only once did I get that feeling. There was one thread about two years ago that Jody was proudly discussing some of the "side effects" of the case, and I found that odd. But most of the time I haven't noticed Jody acting "proud of his celebrity status". But mostly I come back to this...

well if it's him cool. if it's not the person impersonating him should know he is walking on a thin line impersonating someone on the internet in this fashion. LINK

yeah .. i remember those threads .. that is when a lot of us thought it really wasn't him based on the way he was almost making light of the whole thing .. then, when we found out it was him, we were scratching our heads .. he almost comes off as rudy ruettiger in a strange way .. if he was approached about making a lifetime movie about his ordeal .. there's no doubt that he would ..

I don't know that I can blame the guy for having a jaded perception of this entire ordeal. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt though.

In my mind he has earned the right to deal with the trama in any fashion he should choose (without hurting another). If it be by making light of the incident or by enjoying empathy, so be it. As a father, it would be difficult to choose between ridding the earth of the scourge, or solely focusing on an attempt to aid in the repair of the damage done to the family. Best wishes to you and yours...

I just wanted to say I liked your post. And I don't really care why you've decided to broadcast yourself and your story on here. It's a story worth telling.

WTF? Exploiting? Profit? You guys that are questioning his motives are some ignorant jackasses. It seems to me that this singular and notorious event clearly changed his life forever in multiple ways. He's the one living it. It's a great and brave thing that he he is sharing his story to better educate people about child sexual abuse, and how to deal with it. I have to deal with sex offenders all the time in my work, and I can tell you with total honesty that Jody's perspective was very enlightening to me. What now seems obvious is actually counterintuitive - that to over dramatize and catastrophize sexual abuse in talking to your kids can actually do them more harm than good. Thanks, Jody! Don't stop sharing your story. You're doing great work. My parents knew your parents back when that happened, and we prayed for you and your father for many months after it happened. I'm so glad that you are doing well. May God continue to bless you!
