Wow. I don't think anyone blames your dad for what he did. It'd be hard for anyone to look at the big picture if something like that happened.

Jody, we grew up in the same neighborhood and you went to school with my sister and ex-brother in law.
I remember watching this live on TV and seeing your mother outside of the police station yelling encouragements to your father.
Everyone knows there wouldn't have been a jury to convict your father.
As a father of two young girls, I like your stance on this, prevention is more important than revenge. Stop it before the molesting starts, not afterwards. I know this event with your father destroyed your family and sadly, the family of the Doucet's.

no jury would have ever convicted your dad. it's hard to cheer when someone dies, but your dad did what the rest of us hope and wish we had the balls to do in the same situation. My first child, a son, was 11 months old when this happened, and i recall thinking "good for you dad."
