Just watch it on a large tv b/c they employ text on screen at times and it's really tiny IMO. I like Supernatural too but it can get kind of cheesy at times. It's sort of like if you combined X-Files with Buffy. It also has an obvious CW/WB type feel to it which can be a turnoff to some. I'd watch Sherlock first since its only 6 hour and a half episodes. I think it kicks the two recent big screen versions square in the nuts.
