I have posted it several times. I am sure some of the older OB guys might be tired of it every time a retriever thread comes up. I am concerned for their feelings but I like the pic as well.

Black. Anything else is a crapshoot. There are some great yellows and chocolates, but when you select for recessive genes, something else has to fall by the wayside. Sometimes that's hunting ability.

bullshite I've seen all colors, all prices & still some of them just don't get it. I've also seen some of all that has it no matter what the price & bloodline is

Like I said, there are some great yellows and chocolates. But it's a recessive gene. If you're selecting for color, you're not selecting for something else. If you want the best chance of a dog with ability. always bet on black.
