started out with two "bulging" as they call them discs so i went the pt route for what seemed like forever... later on i started with the neuropathy down my ass/legs and went in for an updated mri and one of the discs had finally herniated... he did a discectomy on the herniated disc and left the other one be... worked like a charm.

Maybe that is what has happened to mine, it has gotten much worse since my MRI which was about 4 or 5 months ago. I'm to the point now where I'm willing to try anything.

exactly how i felt... finally made an appt with dr eberley a neurologist at the neuro med without a referral bc i felt like my doc was just taking his time with me... dr eberly ran some nerve conductivity tests and shot a new mri, within a week he had me meet with dr scrantz and they were chopping up my back within two weeks or so from my first appt.... full disclosure, i went to them to fix it and fix it quick and they obliged. i was beyond tired of dealing with it at that point... two or so weeks of recovery and i was a new man.

Pretty sure it was through a tube... I do know that no muscle was cut they were able to just move them out of the way and the only thing cut was my skin obviously and a piece of the spine to access the disc.... That's really where all of the surgical pain came from, it was all bc of that little piece of bone they chopped out.
