| Tim Hudson ok with fans' reaction to Friday's game (Posted on 10/10/12 at 12:32 pm)

I don’t blame the fans for doing what they did and reacting the way they did. Show them some passion and let them know that they didn’t get the call right. That’s not something that I condone or the Atlanta Braves condone, but I was fired up to see everybody in the stadium just ticked off at what just happened. We were the same way and it’s something that, after a little while, I think it’s a little bit embarrassing, but at the same time one side of me was just happy to see our fans just backing us up and letting them know how they felt.

I gotta admit I didn't blame the fans one bit did it go overboard and last too long? yes but the initial reaction was justified....I've not seen such a bad "judgement" on a judgement call for some time and not a Braves fan at all but the first reaction got a pass from me, I was furious and again, wasn't invested at all

Agree with Tim. It was embarrassing for sure, but at the same time you haven't seen that kind of "passion" from Braves fans in quite some time.

I would have given serious thought to contribute. It's BS to make that call. You spend all this time, money, and effort to attend this game and then that.. Now while I agree with the hold up after the call.. I would not have thrown trash after the game ended. I think that was distasteful.. but not the original protest.

MLB should be glad it was Atlanta that got fricked over. Had it been Chicago, New York, Boston, Philly, etc...Holbrook would have had to gone into witness protection. We threw plastic bottles on the field. He got off easy in my opinion.

I wish I was there. There would've been 6 more Millers out on the field.

exactly. if this had happened in Yankee Stadium the fans would have been leaving in patty wagons. And I dont think Joe Torre would have been so quick to disallow the team's protest of the game.

Had I paid to go to that game, I would have been pissed as well. Nothing I hate more than paying good money to go to a game that is either A) rigged or B) ruined with inept officiating.

I was really impressed with Torre staying up so late past his bedtime. I guarantee he did not see that play live, some exec woke him up and he immediately wanted to put Scott Procter in only to be reminded that his arm fell of 3 years ago. MLB umpires are the most arrogant douchebags in sports so i was not surprised to witness that charade of a presser after the game.

And by the way, I hate the Braves and really like the Cards.

exactly my thoughts it's sorta like seeing your mild mannered neighbor go ape shite on someone after living next to them for years and never seeing it

And the Braves fans sold the game out and were in it from the beginning. I remember thinking that I had not seen a crowd like that in Atlanta since the early chop days.

What exactly is "embarrassing" about it? The only person that should be embarrassed is the LF ump.
