The agent in the TOC looked at one of the camera feeds monitoring the perimeter and saw a large group of armed men entering the compound. Asked about the initial reports of the protests, the official said that while "others" in the administration may have said there were protests, the State Department did not.
"That was not our conclusion," the official said.

So Hillary's folks are denying ever concluding the video was causative? That seems to leave Obama out there twisting in the breeze. She'll almost certainly have to walk that yarn back a bit, I'd suspect. Nonetheless, questions will have to arise as to WTF Rice was doing on the talk circuit and who ordered her to do it. Not pretty!
Then we hear on Sept. 11, Stevens did not leave the compound because of security fears due to the 9/11 anniversary, but supposedly the Administration was unaware of threats? I'll bet Stevens would have preferred Obama not approach his national security briefings leading up to 9/11 with the same laziness he did his debate prep.

I don't do a lot of reading of books but I'll be anxious to read Hillary's book about her tenure as SoS under Obama. Should be an interesting read.

Hillary is doing the nation a great service by falling on her sword re Obama. If he wins re-election she will walk the plank when he is inaugurated. Meanwhile on the lead-up to election day the pile of shite he is standing in just got a whole lot deeper for the lies from the White House.

well to be fair, romney wasn't "right" with the major comments he was criticized for. he criticized the administration for its defense of radical/crazy islamofascists, essentially. this was regarding the video
if the video really had nothing to do with it, then romney's comments that he came under fire for don't make sense now
however, from a political angle, i don't think many people really go back and look at what romney said and just assume he was right. ALSO, obama's "shoot first and ask questions later" criticism of romney looks like it's going to be thrown in his face

Wow!!!
I knew there was no protest from the begining. I read about 2 weeks ago one of the security guards was able to fool the militia members by saying, he was just a gardener. When asked about the protest he got defensive, "do you think we would have stayed if protest were going on outside the embassy"?
Susan Rice was sent to 5 different Sunday shows to give an untrue story about the events in Benghazi. Ambassador Bolton said it was strange to see a UN Ambassador giving rounds briefing the media on a Sunday because a UN Ambassador knows literally nothing about the intel or situation in Bengahzi.
Sec. of State Clinton is the person that needs to answer the questions about Benghazi. The Admiistration strategy has been to just bury it until the election passes but I guess Clinton doesn't want to be the fall guy either. Shrewd move by Hillary.

This has the makings of a serious shitstorm for the most transparent Administration ever.
However, Romney will need to be "diplomatic" as to how he uses this information in the debate.
