What did you people expect, a Michael Bay movie? Its a documentary. Frontline episodes aren't listed under the "thriller" section in Blockbuster. You guys need to quit acting like it was supposed to be some great epic of movie making.
No, it just shows what little access LFC actually gave the Fox people. I'm not expecting earth-shattering scenes, but I was bored in the first episode, aside from Rodgers's unintended humor. (scene with his daughter's boyfriend, if I recall, was splendid) There just wasn't a lot of interesting content in my opinion, just a lot of hum-drum offseason stuff that was painted as dramatic in the promos. And this isn't a knock on Liverpool. Being Manchester United with scenes of RVP and Kagawer playing bilingual Hungry Hungry Hippos or a look at Phil Jones's house just wouldn't be something I'd be interested in. But everyone has their opinion. You may like it, and that's fantastic.

You'd better look up history, and/or the meaning of skull drag. It is a storied club. Nothing more.

What is the definition of skull dragging? Winning by a lot or winning a lot? (I choose the former.)

Beast, what is 'skull drug' to you? I know of two clubs which have won more European championships, and another which has won the same number. What is the point here?

Well, 29 domestic trophies and 4 European titles in a stretch of about 15 years is what I would consider "skull drug." The European stretch would have continued if not for Heysel.

Milan has an asterisk next to 2 of its titles, and nobody else has 5 that I'm aware of.

Spaniards and Italians care not about your definition. Both nations have superior clubs. Liverpool is simply a club which disputes with ManUre the right to England's most storied club. Both have different criteria, in order to support their view. I prefer Liverpool.

Europe: 1977, 1978, 1981, 1984, 2005 (albeit outside of the time frame) UEFA: 1973, 1976, 2001 Super Cup: 1977, 2001, 2005 They have the player with the most appearances in European competition (Carra) They have the player with the most goals in European competition (Gerrard) They competed in Europe from 1965-1985, and all but 2 years from 91-present. 11 titles, runners up 8 times, semifinal 5 times. Look, its no Madrid, but its one of the most successful clubs in the history of European competition.

I won't argue with Madrid. Nobody can contend with their stupid amount of titles. Milan benefitted greatly from Heysel. I believe English clubs had won 7 of 9 European titles going into that 5 year ban. I wont take the 2 titles Milan won in that stretch away from them, but those years were the height of English success in Europe and Milan was fortunate to not have to go through any of them. **And no, I'm not going to begin to engage in a dick-measuring argument between LFC and United. It's fruitless, really.

Nor would I, but watching old European games is sort of a hobby of mine (surprisingly, you can find a good bit on youtube if you look hard enough), and I will tell you that Liverpool had the vastly superior side most of the 70's and all of the 80's to the Italians. As Beast said, if Milan had to go through England there's no way they would have bested Liverpool. And I promise I'm being unbiased in that assessment.

Yep. Liverpool's best ever squad (debatable, I guess - but agreed upon my many) didn't compete in Europe. A shame really.

Our two best strikers ever sat out of Europe those years. Dalglish and Rush would have decimated those Italian back lines.

My favorite ever Liverpool match against arguably the best team in Europe in '77. Its a must see.
