Back in 1993 when the Cobra Mustang first came out, a rich neighborhood kid (16 yo) had one. He had got NOS put in it, then had it brought in for a tune-up. The mechanic took his car out for a joy ride, and hit one of those big rigs that carries cars, at 50 miles per hour. The mechanic was permanently injured, and got fired and got sued. That had to suck. Well the rich kid didn't mind the next week he had a Brabus S500 Mercedes.

I'm kind of upset that the Camaros clutch can't handle that better. I bought a POS Jetta from a poster here, for $500 then threw a 'charger on it and tuned the hell out of the engine, and left the old manual cable-pull clutch on the car, drove it much worse than in the video, raced it, drove it like I stole it every time. And the clutch just went out on my Dad (his car now <it's detuned and he wanted 25+mpg)) last week.

I hope first off all their stupid asses get fired and then GM sues the dealership for fraud. I can't believe in this day and age of the internet with news spreading so fast, the dealership didn't try to fix the issue on the spot and send the guy on his way with a new car. Even after realizing they fricked up, they still try to haggle with the guy. Unbelievable. Things will only get worse for the morons of BEST Chevrolet - Easley, SC.

I took my jeep in for warranty replacement of the gas tank last year, which is about the only thing left on it still covered. Anyways found out the they added about five miles to it. I bitched but couldn't prove anything. They said they had to put some more gas back in it which could have added a mile but no more. They just wanted to take it for a joy ride(have about 500hp). I checked it out after and no damage but I was pissed. I hate dealers.

I took my car in yesterday b/c my check engine light was on. I have an OBDII scanner and gave them the code and description of what the code is. The guy said that he still needs to charge me $115 so that they can use their diagnostic scanner because it gives them more readings and information so that they can pinpoint the problem. I did my research on the code ahead of time, and the code P0303 could have been caused by a few different things, so I took him for his word. I should have asked to see his code reader and what more info they get than what mine tells me, but I didn't think of that until later. Was he bullshiteting me?

Sounds like it. $115 to read a code??? That's insane. Autozone does it for free. What kind of vehicle?

What's crazy is, the OP says this is the second time this has happened to him. Said he had it happen at another dealership before. Talk about bad luck...either that or this happens A LOT more than anyone cares to think.

ive never gone as far as putting a recorder like the camaro guy but i always check my mileage if my car goes to the shop. i go to hollingsworth ford in BR and i would never expect them to do something like this. listening to that audio for the camaro being abused was sickening

This kind of action reflects more the management at these places to me. Apparently the service manager at this dealership is not some one who should be in his role.

yea for sure. its fricked up that the guys in the shop take the cars out and drive them like maniacs. its more fricked up that the head guy knows that some guys drive the cars like a drag race and fricks with the system to screw over the customer and GM while he gets the most money he can

I wish there was a site with maps of local repair shops with descriptions of cheating or good service.
