Maybe I need to give myself a few days off of the weights if I'm that worried about the number on the scale But I'm not. I know I'm getting in better shape

Either the battery in my scale has died or my scale committed suicide caused by my re-fattening. WINTER IS COMING..... so I know I won't get on my bike much. Plus I leave for work at 6am and get home around 6:30pm. That only leaves the weekends for bike rides. So.... I'm going to get an exercise bike but I keep reading horror stories about the crappy quality from just about every damn company. And I might finally get a better scale that doesn't force me to weigh my damn leg every day.

I bought a pallet scale for the shop a few years ago, and it's weighed more people than anything else.

Invest in a physician's scale. They are more accurate than the shitty electronic wal mart ones. Instead of buying 10 crappy one's over your lifetime invest in 1 good one. Or if you want the digital version

I'm not dropping $350 on a scale. Accuracy isn't quite that important to me.

yeah thats a tough one. i have both a stationary and a trainer for my road bike. i hate them both so very much. i'm telling you, its a bitch to motivate yourself to sit on one of those and sweat for an hour (or even 30 minutes). the fact you're not moving through a breeze makes every minute that passes miesrable. spin classes are better, there's usually eye-candy and the music and instructor adds tons of motivation. just sayin..i'm not sure you want to spend money on something that could possibly end up as a place to hang your shirts to dry.

Just ordered a stationary bike. I can ride outside on weekends and indoors during the week. I'm actually feeling a little extra motivation.... for now.

I can't stand doing cardio on a treadmill or any stationary device. If I'm doing cardio, it's going to be outside where my surroundings constantly change and I can look at the trees, the ground, the leaves, the cars, the houses, etc. to keep my mind occupied. On a treadmill it's just 100% miserable boredom.

Holy Crap! The LE negativity really has spread amongst you guys. I did a solid job with my bike outside until I started working from 6am until 6:15pm. Not enough light hours in the day now. I WILL ride the stationary bike. My main beef with the bike is that they all seem to be made on the super cheap and everywhere I looked there were lots of nightmare stories. Plus I haven't had much luck ordering from Walmarks.

170/149.5/145 when you get old sprints=jogs, jogs=walks, walk=stand.

330/259/230 One more day of hardcore dieting before heading off to Disney World. I have reviewed most of the menus of the places we have reservations and they look to have some carb freindly options. Whether I choose them or not is another story. We have breakfast buffets lined up for each morning so I plan on killing some eggs and bacon each morning to kick off the day.

I love my schwinn air-dyne evo comp. Very sturdy and its upper and lower body workout.I also do some HIIT on it. Resistance is determined on how hard you ride. As far as it being boring, it can be but whatever. 30-40 min a day means you have 23 1/2 other hours in your day to do something not boring. I used to road ride but with 4 kids depening on me, I couldn't afford a wipeout or being hit by some dumbass in a pickup who clips me with his mirror because I'm riding on "his" road. I've been mulling over doing some again on a limited basis, maybe in a riding club. 225/190.5/178 Wheels came off last few days, I blame Les Miles

I skipped class last night and went hiking in the woods instead. Probably the best thing I could have done for myself. Haven't weighed yet but will edit with the results. A cadfast may be in order for today... ETA My first succesful fasting day in months. 302/269.2/245

This. Plus riding the same levee over and over and over isn't remotely exciting. Glad SOMEONE has some positive comments about the stationary bike. Plus I have a nice spot for it next to my 51 inch Samsung. It will be much easier to force myself two feet onto the bike in my apartment than carrying my bike out to the levee during the winter or peak summer.
