There is no excuse for excluding the ranking member of the committee. This is shameless partisanship and has nothing to do with finding the truth...only scoring political points.

I see your Al Jazeera, and raise you some Obama administration:
Right, however it looks less and less like some vast left-wing conspiracy to hisde critical information, and more like typical government trying to cover its blunders. But again, who are you prone to believe in this case, Al Jazeera or the Obama adminstration? It seems the jist of this thread is that you can't believe what the Obama administration is saying. I don't want to minimize the loss of life here, Stevens and his staff knew the risks going in. BUT, in the grand scheme of things it's really not as big a deal as so many on this board seem to want to make it.

they knew about the attacks days in advance. Sorry, that is not in dispute.

Sure it is, WT. It is intended to DISCREDIT and UNDERMINE Obama's power; pure and simple. But not by lying...just telling the truth. This somewhat low-level in the pain category; the scandal that really hurt, is when Obama played politics with his National Security Team and that classified release. I doubt that there is a single individual out there in double-agent land that would think of enlisting in the US intell machine. Irony being, if they were successful, they'd most likely end up with their face splashed across the globe in a victory dance. That is pure bullshitee; the chip on the shoulder, anti-colonialist Obama is taking us down. Eastwood nailed..."gotta let em go". Don't matter...the good guys really haven't even got pissed off. Yet. They will, if this goes much further.

I find two things here amusing. First, you are insinuating that being "anti-colonialist" is a bad thing (someone has been catching up on his D'Souza). Secondly, you think Eastwood's performance at the convention was anything other than hilariously disjointed, bordering on senile.

Eastwood beautifully merged Amsterdam with Nostradamus . . . .

Glad to give you some cheer, PRK. I do respect both D'Souza and Eastwood...and their 'work' re Obama. Re 'anti-colonialist'. I could hold on to that grudge too; play the high-minded soapbox card. And if this nation still engaged in imperialist ventures and murderous genocide (note I said 'still'), then I'd be on that soap box with the best of em. Our nation learned, and we are still learning. We've helped this world in ways that no nation EVER has. We've promoted individual rights, as well as abused them in pragmatic cases where we chose the lesser of two evils (Islamists and Commies)...but we always get it straight and repent. And move forward. Obama has no intention of doing any less than brining this nation down to his egalatarian mediocrity. He thinks that will bring the individual and all nations together. Yet, even he does so by manipulating the ignorant, misguided, envious and ideologically delusional. IMO, this world will not be a better place with a relatively weak USA. It's been us that stopped the bad guys...over and over. I'm getting old...it'll be the youth that gets the government that they deserve. If they want to go down this path...give it a rip. Consequences will educate the folk, and history will record it. Good enough. That is, if liars don't end up writing the history books.

Given that Clint's never exactly been what one would call an improvisational actor, and that the performance was an almost total ad-lib, it was actually pretty fricking brilliant.

When Holder dismissed the black panthers on election day for their intimidation crime that was caught on tape he lost all credibility with honest americans on that day. so why should we believe they are not lying their arse off on FF, Libya, the jobs report and anything this administration can do to cover its arse on their lack of experience and ignorance.
