I love when people say: the band stopped playing, the band didn't like to hear the word dick, the band is ghey bc they won't play that...etc
It ain't up to the band. It's up to the people who sign the band's checks. Believe me, when I was in it nothing got my blood pumping like playing neck and seeing the entire stadium go nuts. You think they enjoy cutting songs? y'all crazy

I've had to explain to my daughters what shit, bitch and frick mean because they'd hear it somewhere and ask. If they ever would've come home asking that, I probably would've lost my shite and demanded where they heard it and confront them. It's just a stupid thing to say.

I love the idea of having the band go completely on strike and let it be known publicly. No pregame, no TD, no fight song, no halftime...no anything. Unfortunately, as soon as the band would come back...the students would never stop acting like dickholes

I agree. Make the students buy regular tickets for a year and see if they grow up a little. It's one thing to be "college kids" and have a little fun but talking about sucking a tigers dick isn't even remotely funny.

Just playing gramps. This season was the first time I sat in the student section and not with the band...I was embarrassed to see all the belligerent douche bags who had no clue what was going on on the field, their main focus was which bar they were going to hit afterwards. Then I had to tell a freshman to back off bc I sat on one of 6 rows he was trying to save for his bros.
Then the next week I sat in the south end zone and loved it. First season as alumni, finally seeing things from the other perspective.
