I just left the DC area after over 20 years....
Be prepared to deal with high rents, high priced mass transit, and a lot of traffic

She is one of the best at her job and is running the show, right under the GM, at a very nice place right now.

Houston.
Don't listen to these fools who have probably spent 2 days there. It's great for young professionals. Job market is booming, housing market is up. No income taxes. Underrated compared to Austin, which is so overrated.

New Orleans would be #1 if you were single. NYC, San Diego, and San Francisco are probably too expensive. Nashville, Pittsburg, and Charlotte might not be bad.
