Radio is 80% of my news. 10% on the intrawebs 10% FNC but only commentary and mainly O'Reilly. I typically want to punch Hannity in the throat. I hate all evening NEWs broadcasts. Bore me to tears (Fox) or make me curse their spin (the others).

I watch it from time to time. Mainly to hear if anything is going on that catches my interest. If it does then I'll do further reading elsewhere. In short, I watch it for a synopsis of news. Mostly due to the eye candy.

I mainly get my news from the internet, but if any real disaster happens I usually roll with CNN. I do enjoy the Bret Bair(sp?) news at 5 on fox, O'reilly, and I'll check Anderson Cooper's show. I check MSNBC anytime I know there will be some lulz.

So what is wrong with you sdmitting that you suck on MSNBC and Current TV for news, and HuffPo and Dummies Underground to shape you opinions which really do stink as of the source from which you spread the gases around?

It seems like most of your "news" sources are really just opinion sources. Why do you feel the need to view other's opinions so much?

I actually watch all of them. But MSNBC comes across as a bunch of smug crybabies. Rachel Maddow acts like when something comes out of her mouth that you should automatically agree with her. They spin the shite out of everything. Fox is about as fair as it gets, unless we are talking Hannity.

I thought the mean 'mainstream media' had shut right wingers out Makes me want to vomit when I hear right wingers complain about the 'liberal media' when their garbage is infesting the airwaves everywhere.

Does it really pain you THAT much that conservatives have 1 major news channel as opposed to CNN/MSNBC/ABC/CBS/HLN for the liberal view points?
This is a huge part of the problem. First of all, network news is going to be "liberal" from the perspective of...say...someone in Louisiana or the south (which is where the bulk of GOP support comes), but for the general public, they're pretty close to the center. I do think it's probably fair to say that people who study and practice journalism are more likely (but certainly not exclusively) to be liberal than conservative. But having been around many professional journalists, I know it's absolute hogwash to suggest that the entire world's media (other than Fox) is a part of the vast left wing conspiracy. Fox, is not just a network with slightly more conservative reporters than liberal reporters. Fox is an activist conservative news network. They are deliberately framing stories, editorial content, etc. for the conservative market segment. Fox is NOT simply the flip side of the coin of NYT, WAPO, etc. They've done one hell of a job convincing people that they are, though. With Fox you not only get your own opinions but you get your own facts, too.

Well let's see: 1. In order for an opinion source to state an opinion on the news, they must first report the news to which they relate their said opinion. 2. I like their opinions Does this help you understand?

I get my from various internet sites. As far as TV, I'll put it on Foxnews for election coverage when something big is on, but that is about it.

I trust Fox for stuff on Obama that you can't get in the MSM, but still make the rounds. Beck is, and has been for years, waaaay out ahead of Fox. Probably why he left them; they (advertisers) trembled when Beck hit the air. And of course...our esteemed Poliboard. If it pops...it'll be here. And hit from all sides.

75% of the honest and valid criticism of Fox News finds its way back to one hour of programmimg - the Sean Hannity Show. Hannity is obnoxious, repetitive (REPEATS, REPEATS, REPEATS, REPEATS his talking points ad nauseum, well you get the idea), intellectually VERY weak and slow, often unprepared (as in using outdated or disproven data and information), tries to make big stories out of non-stories, believes everything he hears or reads that fits his mindset, toots his own horn beyond any reasonable level of acceptance, and even when he has a creditable and knowledgeable guest on (I find myself screaming at the TV "Hannity, you dickhead, let HIM/HER talk, he's/she's smarter than you are), manages to hog 75% of that guest's total time by cutting them off over and over, even when that guest agrees with Hannity. The guy is a narcissist with a self-inflated opinion of himself. He single-handedly creates much of the negative image of Fox News network. Using re-runs, I monitor parts of O'Reilly, Hannity, Greta, The Five, Bret Baier (can't handle S. Smith) - Anderson Cooper, Erin Burnett, Wolf Blitzer, (can't handle ol' Piers) - Maddow, Schultz, O'Donnell and Matthews (can't handle Sharpton)- and monitor CNBC off-and-on all day long. I have a Bookmark list of about 77 daily newspapers from every major city, and on a typical day check in with 20-25 of them from around the country, as well as the websites of Bloomberg, CNBC, CBS, ABC, Fox News, Reuters, CNN, the Christian Science Monitor, Drudge (yeah, I know), RCP, and Politico - as well as several govt. websites that supply facts and figures.

FIFY! That's one of the first things I ask someone before discussing politics with them, i.e., their opinion the the MSM. If they consider the MSM to be "center" I just chalk them up to being a far-left whacko nutjob incapable of any sort of relevant discussion.
