Thats great for BR. If you move to bigger cities you should make a lot more as well. If you guys move to NYC you should be making well over 150k if you are already making 130k in BR.

Hoboken is a great city for younger folks. You can walk to everything here in town, tons of bars, and you can be in NYC in about 15-20 minutes on the PATH. Then you have the trains which you can use to go visit other towns on the weekends. We may be renting our place soon..
Always enjoy me some Hoboken. Better watch out though, them Jersey girls love a Southern man's accent and charm. Your ole lady might not like that... or you could just leave her ass.

hey dip shit, i dont know if you've noticed but you might find the economy a little tougher than you think. Yor combined $160K probably won't go far in San Diego,Chicago, or Boulder. But have fun anyway baller.

She would probably take a job under a major coordinator or at a nice hotel planning their events if we moved to NYC.

Not necessarily in CE. Demand is higher here.

Hoboken is a great spot. Cheaper than anything in the 5 boroughs and a 10 minute ferry ride from midtown/wall st.

I don't really have an accent. Everywhere I go people have a hard time placing me. The charm... in full force.

This. Weddings/events rely so heavily on who you know. In some cities I could see there being some sort of agency she could join, but if she's on her own it may be tougher. Fiance' lived in Chicago right out of school for a couple years. He liked it OK. Your income would buy you a much nicer place than he got at that time. I've heard good things about Tampa, I know someone else mentioned it.

I would have agreed with you 10 years ago but PIT has a great renaissance going on right now and major diversification of their industry-base there. Arguably one of the top entrepreneurship cities in the US.
