I only ever dated college girls. But that's more to do with them having the ambition, drive, and social skills to be successful in college rather than just the education itself.

even if she was intelligent and successful without a degree? you would still look down on that person?

no, i wouldnt,

i guess im having trouble with answering, most people i know that are not intelligent and are not educated are not doing anything with their lives, but im well aware that there are people who are very intelligent who did not go to college who are making more than i ever would, and i have just as much respect for them as anyone.

i have just seen first hand too many women going to college just to meet a guy, and then sit on their arse their whole life and complain how hard it is to raise a child, even though their maid is doing it.

i just have not been exposed to the good people

do you really think it was because of that, or was it really just because you were around college chicks more?

how old are you? give it time, i know plenty of unintelligent losers with college degrees on the wall and plenty of smart successful people without one. The degree doesn't make the person

Here is an anecdote for you:

My Uncle married a woman he met working in a department store while he was in college for his PE degree. She never attempted to go to college. Every family holiday she was completely out of her element when my family (who all have at least an undergraduate degree) would be talking about anything. She eventually divorced him and re-married a guy who also never went to college and works in an auto shop. My point is it very much matters how someone fits into your life. If they feel out of place around friends and family it won't work out.

My entire family has degrees. All my friends have degrees. My wife does not. She fits in just fine and all my family and friends love her.

Again, it all depends on the person. It has nothing to do with whether or not they have a degree.

intelligence

but ability to take a joke/mold with my sense of humor may be more important than intelligence to me

I find that people with intelligence also have a much better sense of humor (in my opinion). A dry wit or sarcastic sense of humor. Very attractive

Have to agree with this. Hell our HS valedictorian was probably the dumbest smart chick you would ever meet. She has a Masters from LSU btw.

Well, I know some females with college degrees who do not act very intelligent at all. I often wonder how they even got through school, but I guess that piece of paper is more important.
Ridiculous.

Do you apply the results of one instance to everything? That is crazy. I once noticed a dog humping a cat so all dogs must hump cats.

Intelligence is way more important than a piece of paper

It's crazy that in order for a relationship to work someone has to fit into your life? I value a college education if you don't that's fine but I believe in learning from experiences be they my own or someone elses.

To me that piece of paper represents setting and completing a goal. I think that is to be commended and says a lot about a person's drive and initiative.

Agree. It's horrible. Intelligence is more important.

That being said, doubt I'd be with someone uneducated either. Not because of the academic aspect, but because I feel that someone who went to college has complete different young adult experiences than someone who didn't.

I value education a great deal but I also realize that a formal education is not required for someone to be intelligent. I, unlike many today, still highly value the old IQ test. If a person is a logical problem solver that person will be able to solve many more problems than someone who cannot even see or understand the problem. It is generally accepted that an I.Q. of 100 is necessary to graduate with an undergraduate degree. I would have a great deal of difficulty sharing my life with someone with that limited mental capacity. To me intelligence is more important by a long shot.
