I need to make chili soon also. and gumbo. and chicken and dumplings. All the cold weather foods.

Nope, I mostly feed my husband's single friends and my teenage sons. They will eat anything so I take the easy way out. Canned biscuits ftw.

My dad usually makes about 2-3 gallons of vegetable soup the start of fall and freezes it. He makes a good vegetable soup, I look forward to eating some everytime I go over there.

It is very easy. Google recipes and pick one that looks good to you. Start with Mexene chili powder and use the recipe on the back. Even the Mccormick pack is ok.
