i'll repost it on this page....it's not about tv. its about the alumni and other people at the game not wanting to explain to their kids why and what "suck that tiger dick" means. If I had kids, i'd probably be in that boat.

Actually, the main reason is TV. They have threatened to fine LSU if the students can be heard saying that shite on TV
I'm sure the alumni and administration play a role too, but TV is one of the main reasons

LSU admins don't want to promote that kind of behavior in the stadium.
I think there are some tame tailgates. Especially the ones that have kids attending. If i had kids I wouldn't expect to walk through tons of student tailgates and have my kids not hear things. But when im sitting in the stadium with my child (hypothetically), i'd prefer not to hear it when its completely audible to 90k other people.

it makes the students look like a bunch of classless slobs.
spare me the "get a life gramps" comments. i did the tiger rag cheers as a student, that was kinda tradition. you expect some crassness out the students. but every time a new song comes out we have to work in "suck dick" in some form? that's pretty juvenile and pathetic if you ask me. it's like giggling when someone says a dirty word.

That is what I was about to say. They should just boycott playing music. Although the stadium is pretty much phasing them out anyway with all the piped in music. Would the band get in trouble if they boycott playing?
