Band members are probably distraught at the thought of the viewing audience (live and TV, of-age and under-age) hearing the word dick at a football game. Additionally, they are probably distraught at being lumped in with what appears to be classless buffoons in the student section. This type of gratuitously vulgar behavior is the last refuge for unimaginative thought. It shows poorly on the students, the team and the university. It is no great surprise that the band, along with the vast majority of fans over 20, would want to distance themselves from this idiocy?

Do they honestly think that the students would't come up with something new? If they just did a TV delay and let the students do this there wouldn't be a problem

it's not about tv. its about the alumni and other people at the game not wanting to explain to their kids why and what "suck that tiger dick" means. If I had kids, i'd probably be in that boat.
