Nurse I love that picture!
Maybe one summer I can take some time off work and take a trip like that. Can I do something like that not through a church? I'm not involved with any churches around here.

I went for 2 weeks. I'm sure there are ways to go without a church. There are other organizations I'm sure that are not affiliated with any religion that does work overseas.
If its something you have always wanted to do, then I would go. I hope to one day go back to Africa for another short term trip, but one that is medically based.
You could always do something with Operation Smile, I'm sure they could use nonmedical volunteers.
