I can't stand when people sling dumbbells during curls. If you have to twist your entire upper half and never let the dumbbells come to a stop just to get it up, you're using too much weight

I honestly try hard to have good form, but I am not terribly experienced. I rarely attempt to lift heavy weights.

Because squatting 1/4 depth with 275 looks more impressive (they think) than squatting all the way to the floor with 175.
The most I go is parallel these days. My knees would blow up going arse to the ground on a consistent basis, regardless of the weight.

"Heavy" is a relative term. People fail to grasp this concept. Rule of thumb. When you say i want my rep range at 10-12, you really shouldnt be able to get to 12. It should take everything in you to finish that 10th or 11th rep. That doesnt mean however that you puss out and dont even try the 12th rep. That is when you grow the most. on those failed half reps

Some cheating is fine. If I'm at the tail end of a set and my biceps are blown, that last rep or two can be a bitch.

Thanks. Yeah, I am usually working in that range these days as my back has been a little sore. Once I get it back in shape I will switch it up to heavier weights with only 5 reps.

Yea. This is why i am not quick too judge peoples' form.... You never know who is rehabbing, or dabbling in doing some different kind of work out routine...

it's an awful move for your joint health. Might as well just take a blow torch to your cartilage.

Should I be going lower on squats? I only go a little past 90.

Yea i dont understand people going ATG. Most of us lift for aesthetics, and going that little bit lower on squats isnt doing enough to justify the stress it puts on your joints.

If you are within 5-10 degrees of parallel you are probably doing sufficient. Getting that extra bit lower won't do much for your average lifter.

This is why I have stayed away from squats for so long. I can never find a clear guide as to which is the perfect form...

Any one here go to LSU's rec? If so, do you ever see that one chubby Asian kid in there with glasses who does one rep then goes and talks with anyone who'll listen to him for half an hour, come back do another rep, talk for another half hour, repeat. Dude is in the rec nearly everyday for a couple of hours but has no muscle and terrible form to show for it.

I don't keep lifting stats bro. I don't do the "big 3" either because I lift and workout with a purpose to support the activities I participate in and to avoid injury

I see people using Half their body weight to pull down the lat bar, and it always bothered me. However, the people doing this are usually twice my size, so they must be doing something right.
