Seriously?? Draft deferments are legal are they not? And you leave out the FACT that he was eligible for the draft and his number was higher than was called. He was only in France for one single deferment. Others were academic deferments.
Yeah, I really don't care.

This. I didn't think a foreign policy could be worse than Obama's but Romney is determined to prove us wrong.

Yeah, because Iran is going to break her several hundred year hiatus of pre-emptive military action with their alleged first nuclear weapon.
Iran is female? And I see your point, because Caesar is still running Rome and the Pharoes are building new and improved Sphinxes. I for one look at the present and take Achmenjob at his word. If you think it's cool for him to have nukes, then I can't possibly change your mind. Naivete is an uncurable disease

Where is this happening? What is any country substantively doing to "take over the world" and plunge us into darkness?

It was the government that gave him a 2-D deferment.

No he doesn't. Not even close. The vast majority of Jews are Democrats.

Eh...traditionally countries have been referred to using the feminine pronouns. Just like ships and whatnot.

I look at them as much weaker than they are all made out to be.

I wasn't born until after the Viet Nam war but I'm almost certain I would have done everything in my power not to have gone to Southeast Asia and put my arse on the line for no reason whatsoever.

Would you have picketed for the war and yelled at anti-war protestors in the process?

And in this case the Naif is you. Do you really believe that if Iran possessed Nukes it would immediately fire them at another country that possesses more Nukes than it allied with a country that has more Nukes than anyone in the world? Do you suppose the corrupt Imams of Iran are tired of ruling? Wish to die along with much of their populace in a nuclear holocaust? These people just want to remain in power, nothing more.

Probably not. I'm not much on protesting. I am huge on protecting my own arse though.

OMG the brain dead walk the planet. I DID NOT contradict myself. He had 3 deferments for academic and 1 deferment for minister in france. ONE DRAFT he was eligible and was NOT drafted. THUS he was eligible for the draft and didnt dodge it.

An Obama supporter talking about blowback from running weapons to rebels. At least these rebels are not landlocked to the US

The guy was beating the war drums back in college and picketing people who didn't support the war; then he avoided it. That's not the same situation and I doubt few people on this board would sink as low as to do something like that. It also negates the tired GOP argument around here lately that they care about the economy when the man wants to increase defense spending by trillions, add over 100,000 new troops, and is destined for war.

But Clinton picketed against the war, not for it.
