You you do know that this information doesn't mean anything vis-a-vis the phenomenon of global warming, right?

Used the fire place in the new house for the first time on Saturday.....it was only 45 degrees, but I was anxious to try it out. And global warming is rebranded as "climate change" every winter to encompass all of weather that we hate. That way, when we have another miserable winter, all the mouth breathers can complain about cow farts and big oil.

Funny, there were some record highs over the summer and I recall a post or two by your crew touting the one they call "Gore"

On Friday a group of Swedish scientists released a report that claims that the usage of electric cars is more condusive to global warming than an internal combustion engine. Do you think Al And Barack will make a retraction of any of thier BS as a result of this report?

Well no, we don't know. Can you explain it to us please?

We can begin by saying the more accurate term is "climate change" rather than "global warming". BTW, I have an open mind as to the degree to which human activity contributes to that change. I can only read what researchers find.

Of course. If we use "climate change" we can blame man for EVERY weather anomaly not just the warm ones. BRILLIANT!

Isn't climate by definition constantly changing?

Look, I'm not 100% against all these ideas or theories...I just don't really care. I didn't mean for that to sound so douchy btw. And I feel like at first it was GLOBAL WARMING. As in...oh shite the globe is warming up! But that was kinda shot down so now it CLIMATE CHANGE. The climate is changing! Do you know how ridiculous that sounds? I'm no historian but I think the climate has changed many many many many many many times over the worlds' existence.

But which researchers findings to you believe in? There is no so called "consensus" on the subject in fact, and only one side is believed to be the case by many people, expecially those working for the EPA and other regulatory agencies.

I have zero problems with people talking about climate change or global warming. Humans definitely have an impact on the environment. You lose credit with me when you make your statement that this is the first time X has happened in the last 100 years and use that as a reason to panic. 100 year window which is great since it represents roughly .1-.05% of the time humans have been on earth.

Excellent post....and because many "experts" ignore key period's in earth's history while making political appeals in favor of cap and trade legislation, I am skeptical of the claim that humans have much of an effect on global climate change at all and our efforts to slow the natural warming or cooling cycles will have a negligible effect that will be impossible to measure with certainty with the limited data we have available. I want a clean environment as much as the next guy, but when politicans talk about capping and trading credits from low emission tech firms in their district to big industry in the "other guy's" district....I get even more skeptical. I'll probably never support cap and trade legislation in the US even if a consensus is reached about AGW for that reason. "Climate-gate" didn't help either.

We need a new bumper sticker campaign.... "Make Climate Change History" you get it? no??? oh, it's because climate change has been around for the entire HISTORY of the mudball.

I'm curious, do you have an open mind to the vast research that refutes the pro man made "climate change" data?

Of course many with that mindset are not open minded to views outside their comfort zone. When liberals say they have an open mind, I usually laugh. AGW alarmist seem to almost be in their own religion sometimes. That said, I don't think VOR is like Otto or DA or their alters/housemates.
