I have a problem with this word when it describes the offshore community. Granted, we do have some guys who truly will never get past roustabouts, but they have great concepts and understandinngs of mechanical operations which truly is a lost education.
The lifestyle they live and the hours the work is definitely worth their pay - it's not like they are sitting at a desk just collecting a check for showing up.

Those crazyass fishermen around Alaska/ Beiring Sea make some serious bank when they go out. Other than that, I think you have it covered.

I'd say 30-40% or real estate agents in my office don't have a degree, average 50-100k.
There is another brokerage who is well known that broker got GED at 16, went to work at a firm, and does 10 million in contracts annually on average.
It's the exception of course, but averaging 300k with a GED is sick.

The auto industry. Some guy was on here the other day bragging about how a forklift operator at GM gets $90K per year.

The only thing I can think of is unlicensed merchant sailors can make anywhere from 50-200/yr but there is training at the union training school along the way.
