Really? Spin classes are a great option for cardio. I see lots of guys of all ages at the classes at my gym.

Just a personal preference, probably because I hate it, myself. Would rather do treadmill for cardio and squats & presses for legs & ass. Like to see guys working legs; so few do it.

If you are doing it right those spinning classes are one hell of a workout. I hit the gym daily, but one of those once in a while works muscles you didn't even know you had.

Ummm, what muscles do you think you are using in the spin classes? Guarantee you burn wayyy more calories in a spin class vs on a treadmill.

No shite. Who said it was? I've tried spinning for cardio, & it didn't do as much for me as inclined treadmill or stair climber. Point being, I dislike spinning because you are on your arse the entire time. If I have to do cardio, I at least want to get some other benefit from it, no matter how small.

Don't want to get into a pissing contest or anything this late, but have been lifting since jr. high where it was a requirement for the dance, cheerleading, & gymnastics teams I was on. Continued through college & still do as much as I can now. Do whatever works for you. Spinning, IMHO, uh sucks.

No way at the same intensity, but a bike is far better for your knees.

That's what I thought as well. I thought you are standing on the pedals a good bit of the class as well. Never done a class, but I'm gonna start doing them after the wedding to get some cardio endurance built up for my honeymoon(I agreed to do a 25 mile mountainbike ride with my honey...I don't mountainbike so need to build up endurance to do so). Figured spin classes would be a great way to do so.

stair climber
My go to cardio. I hike a lot when the weather permits so stair climber is good prep for mountain trails.

Absolutely. Crank the tension up on those things and do a fast climb and you will feel that shite for a few days.

Crank the tension up on a stair climber, you won't be able to walk.

I hate working legs makes me almost throw up. I am well proportioned though not huge bit lean muscle. Wish I weighed what I weigh now in high school. Would have been busted some heads in football I weighted 135 in high school. Lol

Most guys do hate working legs. I hate working upper body like most females do. People like working what's easiest for them I guess. For me, thighs & arse are my favs. Always liked calf work outs, too while I was in dance. Not so much anymore. I hate the night cramps afterwards.
