| O-T Business Ballers - Need Advice on "That's What She Said" (Posted on 10/7/12 at 11:41 pm)
I have been working with a co-woker on a project for a few months and we have become pretty cool friends (outside of work we don't really talk much" Anyways, we had a semi formal meeting with the main guys for the firm we are trying to get work from on Friday.... This wasn't a formal meeting with suit and tie but it was a tie meeting without the jacket... Granted this was the first time we have ever sen the reps from the other company in person... So it was three of there people and me and my co-worker... The meeting was going great but I counted five fricking times during the meeting that my co worker broke out the "that's What She Said" shite after one of their comments. Holy shite I was dying inside. It was clear that the other people had no fricking idea what that meant (or if they did they were just being professional by ignoring it) but it was one of the most embarrassing things I have ever seen while at work. I want to call the dude out bad about this but I am not sure how to approach this because in the past when he says this I usually laugh (but not in front of clients) I go to work to work.. not there to make friends.. so that's no problem but I am worried that if I don't call him out in a proper way it will mess up our work relationship with future projects that we are assigned to. This is the 1st time I have really worked with him and having to go into meetings with him... I am just not sure how to call this guy out without making his feel like a fricking lunatic for saying this shite at the wrong time or saying something wrong that could completely damage our work relationship... Any suggestions besides the typical dl;dr or sarcastic remarks? thanks

Before the next meeting just ask him to keep the 'that's what she said' comments to a minimum.. He should get the hint

Keep it simple. "Hey man not trying to be a dick, but when it's just us, it's cool but you can't keep doing the 'that's what she said' comments in front of professional clientele." Is this guy young? Immature?

Well I hinted about it in a few ways basically saying not to say that and he just did not get it at all what I was saying.. I don';t even think he realizes he says it actually. He is upper 30s... Cool guy and all but DAYUM, wtf??? how embarrassing!

Gently remind him about being professional. If he does it again, call him out.

Am I crazy and think that this is totally wrong and unacceptable or am I just paranoid?
