Yeah, it's so odd the emotions that you feel when watching him. I find myself kind of rooting for him in some situations, then I'm like kill this bastard now 3 minutes later. Was it me, or did that episode feel short? It ended at 9:47, I think.

Yeah, but I was literally on tue edge of my seat several times this evening and my heart rate increased dramatically also. I can't remember ever feeling that way watching a show, even horror movie as a kid. :nohomo:

At first, when Saul was discovering the sd card, I thought it was some kind of planted tracking device, and I was like Oh, shite they're coming after Saul and Carrie... Then it was the sd card and Brody's face, and I was like pop fricking corn.

No, I don't think Saul is a traitor. I haven't seen anything to lead me to think this at all.

something like this will happen in the show though. its just that type of show tonights episode wasnt great to me.. i didnt like that Brodie warned him.. seemed too far fetched.. plus, there was never any doubt that the attempt would fail, just a matter of how it would fail i did like the ending though, i thought a mortar was going to take out the house that Saul was in

It really was fantastic. I was tense the whole time I was watching. I guess Saul will have to use Carrie off book now?

There was some subtle behavior last season toward the end that was suspicious. There was even speculation as to whether he passed something to Brody during interrogation.

I think its widely believed that there is someone on the inside...could be Saul, but I think thats a little misdirection After this episode ending, we may find out in the next two weeks.

Saul trusted Carrie's judgement and went through with the operation to take out Naziir, I highly doubt Saul is a traitor. He does seem fishy at times though

There has to be SOMEONE on the inside. How else could that reporter chick have gotten hold of the combination to David Estes's safe and know what was in the safe as well?

I agree with the sentiment in this post - Season 2 / Episode 2 may have been the best episode of the entire series. I also agree that there is someone else working on the inside for Nazir, but I don't think it's Saul. The show's writers may be trying a little misdirection by dropping some hints that Saul may be a traitor - the incident with the lie detector test, the suicide of Nazir's lieutenant while in CIA custody, etc. At the end of the day, though, I think the secret traitor will come out of left field. Two pet peeves about last night's episode: (1) CIA & JSOC are planning an operation to take out the most wanted man in the world and they are having a conversation over Skype? Seriously? I'm no IT Security expert, but I don't think Skype is the most-secure communications medium. I guess even Homeland needs product placement revenue (2) When Brody & the Veep go into the Centcom command center at the Pentagon to watch the Beirut mission, why didn't they have to leave their cellphones outside the room? My understanding is this is standard across defense and intelligence - you cannot bring mobile phones into sensitive areas. I'm sure the writers & producers are aware of this (you can tell the show is very well researched), but Brody had to have some way of tipping off Nazir in such a short window of time.
