If the Unemployment Rate is really 7.8% or lower does that change any R Votes?

If not, why even bother calling it a lie? How would the average Republican feel if it was 7.0%? Would that make you vote for Obama?

Not really, its just more lies anyway. They fudged part-time numbers. Most here know whats up, no minds will be changed, just gives Obama something to hold on to after being exposed.

Its not that the rate is not "really" 7.8%, its that the percentage is not indicative of the employment situation in an environment where people who want to work aren't included in the work force.

U-6 (underemployment) is stuck at ~15million

The U-3 (unemployment) does not consider labor participation rates. If it did since Obama took office the unemployment would be 10.7% instead of 7.8%. It's a big fricking difference.

The Unemployment Rate is around 14%

Most R's know this and in fact it pisses them off even more (including myself) that the President is blatantly lying through his teeth about this fires us up even more to GET THE VOTE OUT on Election Day

Any positive sign you can find in the economy another one is shrinking.

You're joking right? The real unemployment rate when you include all the people who have dropped out of the workforce since Obama has been in office is closer to 11%. But keep driking the koolaid.

It's a metric. The calculation has been the same as far as I know for the last 40 years. It's not the Obama administration's idea/decision to carve out outliers, etc. That's just the way it is and the way it always has been.

It's like arguing over someone's IQ or SAT score and saying it's not a true measure of someone's intelligence. No shite. It's just a metric.

It could go as low as you want it to go - would never vote for Obama.

Incorrect, the way this metric is calculated was changed about four years ago right before Bush left office.

I suspect that this is the case for most.

Just for personal info and education on the subject, does anyone have a link on changing the UE numbers by Bill or George and is this a kinda regular thing to tweak the numbers?
