I got an PM for messing with otto once. He said something along the lines that if 3 people called you an a-hole, then you're probably an a-hole. So naturally every thread he was in I'd say "You're an a-hole. Only two more to go."

ive seen it on another forum where idiot posters who are borderline bannable, are limited to only posting in what is called the "penalty box". It could give a fair warning to those on the cusp of being banned and its pretty damn funny to watch the morons melt down in there.

You can still get banned from the penalty box. The box just acts as a warning and a holding cell if you will.
