I know a guy who works for our local John Deere dealer and they sold a gunsafe to a guy who lives in a mobile home. The next day the guy comes in and tells them that the safe has fallen through the floor and is now sitting on the ground. They did not even go look at it. How in the hell would you get that out? You could not get hold of it. You could not jack it up from the bottom because where would you go with it after you jacked it up? Maybe you could cut the hole out bigger and lay it on its side and pull it out with truck. I think I would just move.

I have a Browning Medallion 28.Very nice and very heavy,845 lbs for an average size safe. Its one of the nicer things Browning makes other than their guns.

Is it true you need a 2 hour fire rating should you want to put documents inside and not just guns? Read it somewhere as I'm in the market for a safe that will do that

Thanks for posting this. Looking for a new safe atm. The gun show always has a big Liberty display here so I was thinking of getting it from there but this give me more homework to do.

I've now been looking at Liberty Safes. Liberty Lincoln 35 http://www.libertysafe.com/safe-lincoln-safes-ps-5.html Lincoln series looks really good. A dealer local has a price that is 38% less than online pricing. 16 Locking Bolts 11 Gauge Steel Body LED Lighting System 4 Sided locking bolts on door 90minute at 1200 degree fire rating 34 Guns 850lbs Lincoln 35 Series Online $3,100 Local $2,350 The question is now going with a lower grade safe series but step up to the 41 guns (50 series) just for the room and around the same price point? I've decided to either purchase a Liberty or Fort Knox.

After playing with the keypads today.. I'm all for the mechanic dial. I was not impressed with the quality of the keypads I tested on Liberty, Fort Knox or American Security.

Back on the market for another Safe. What are y'alls thoughts on these two? Liberty Lincoln 35 ($2,399) LINK vs Liberty President 40 ($4,199) LINK Company I'll purchase from... LINK Is this money worth the upgrade for the 7 gauge steel over the 11 gauge steel with a little more room and weight?

If you can literally take a fire axe and rip through 10 gauge steel body wall it seems it would not be worth putting a lot of cash or Jewelry inside. However, in normal smash and grabs it will guard well as someone wouldn't have time to crack or break into it unless you're on vacation. Debating about buying a small safe for cash and watches or buy the most expensive and do a all-in-one 7 gauge gun safe like the President series. No safe is burglar proof therefore it's about not wasting money and finding the right fit.

Yes you did and it looks to be winning out after an exhausting amount of research. Fort Knox seems a little expensive when the Liberty President series seems to be the answer.
