Did it ever occur to you that maybe another lsu fan stole your magnets to put on his car?
Because that is what I did and now my car is fly with them lsu magnets on it

What part of town is this occurring in? I have attended many UL Lafayette sporting events with my LSU alumni front license plate and my state LSU license plate with no issues. In my neighborhood, on my block alone, there are 3 big ULL fans and 3 bigLSU fans. We always rib each other and have fun with it. ULL, like every fan base, has their fair share of jackasses but unless you are being over the top about it, I have never heard of anything remotely resembling property damage occurring over being an LSU fan.

in lafayette this may be more of a crack problem than a ULL fan problem. How much do those car magnets sell for in a pawn shop?

My SUV has a front plate and a back LSU plate. I had the yellow "tiger eye" the mirror covers and a simple oval lsu magnet on the tailgate and they were stolen while parked in the parking garage in River Ranch. The second incident was the same SUV, new manget on the tailgate, stolen from the Academy parking lot on Ambassador. And the final occurence happened yesterday. This time it was my car which has a front plate, and a very very old LSU plate on the back, had it since 1992, and an oval magnet on the trunk. It may have happened in the Zea parking lot but I left there and went to Academy on Ambassador. I Noticed the magnet was missing when I got home. My car also has purple pin stripes and little "Geaux Tigers" painted on the rear quarter panels. Its permanent. My colors don't and won't ever come off.

I haven't really ever 'got' Laffayette. I like it, it's nice, but I am more of a New Orleans and Baton Rouge person.
I figured that I was the wierd one ...

I'm from Lafayette but was raised a tiger fan, go to LSU now, etc. You can't imagine the amount of shite talkin I got from ULL fans after we lost the championship and they won their bowl game last year.

They are just hateful people. They are unlike no other on hating. They detest LSU, ulm, mcneese, latech and Tulane. Notice a trend.

grew up on south side of Lafayette (Broussard/Youngsville)
grew up LSU fan
went to LSU
took summer courses at USL
one of my best friend's dad used to be head of ULL Economics Department
never had problem with USL/ULL people
sounds like you people just hang out with too many unsavories

We live in jeanerette and wife works for dentist in Lafayette the whole group at that office has parties to watch LSU to pull against them.

Please tell me you don't roll around with LSU mirror covers on your vehicle.
They did you a favor. And I don't think stolen magnets equate to vandalism. If you have had all these "vandalism problems" in Laf just take the stuf off before you go over there. Oh and if you call the police I would love to know what they tell you.

absolutely...I lived in lafayette and enjoyed the culture...however, they have an inferiority complex vs LSU like you have never seen before...decorate your car with LSU stuff and you can expect it to get messed with...
funny thing is, around LSU no one really has strong feelings about ULLa at all, but I think ULL fans lie awake in bed at night thinking about how much they dislike LSU...
you can imagine how things went on fridays during football season when I would go to work wearing my gameday gear.....
