| Obama is re-doing the debate (Posted on 10/6/12 at 9:52 am)
For the past 2 days Obama has been running national ads re-doing the Denver debate. He starts with a taped snippet from Romney...less than 10 seconds. Then he refutes the point for the remaining 20 seconds of the ad. The advantage, of course, is that Romney is not physically there to deny the refutation. It's very effective. Pussified as hell, but effective.

Only way he will win a debate against Romney.

This will only hurt him, 65 million people saw that debate live.

I'm not surprised by this at all. It just goes to show that the Obama camp understands very well that Romney dominated that debate.

His response since the debate proves Obama and his minions realize how poorly BHO did in the debate. It's their juvenile-like strategy that is going to turn off more voters.

They actually estimate 70 million saw it live when you include group and online viewings. And I think 3 million additional people watched it on CNN's afternoon rebroadcast on Thursday.

Obama loves to create straw men so he can frame the issue on his terms and win the debate by refuting the false premise he just created. It's worked very well up until now. It backfired on him at the debate because Romney was able to call him on his lies very effectively. Now he is doubling and tripling down on the 5 trillion dollar lie in an effort to rebuild that straw man. But I don't think it's going to work. He's been exposed for the empty suit that he is. I think running a commercial reminding people that he got his clock cleaned is a big mistake because it creates the impression that he can't fight his own fight and needs the ad men to bail him out.

With Mitt not there to shred him and no media to protect him, Obama is a bad ass. H'e out on the campaign trail kicking arse and taking names. What an empty chair.

It's like if Les Miles used the ending of the Ole Miss game in 2009 to argue that he is the best clock manager in the game.

I just saw one of Obama's redo ads aired during College Gameday on ESPN. For proof that Romney lied about his "I don't propose a $5 trillion tax cut" statement, they used a short video clip of Andrea Mitchell giving her version of Romney's tax cut plan! How desperate must they be to use that well-known political hack in a commercial to prove their point?!?

I saw the commercial on Gameday. I giggled and thought what a dipstick to bring that night back up.

I look forward to some "undecided" person at the next debate asking about the $5 trillion tax cut and Romney quoting Stephanie Cutter, Obama's deputy campaign manager, saying "Well, okay, stipulated. It won’t be near $5 trillion"

Romney should run a counter add with a rebuttal and begin with "since this the President's more preferable debate style, I'll play" Absolute chicken shite.

Yeah, I saw it twice during Gameday. Still perping the lie. The group that said it was $4.8 trillion tax cut, even walked it back after they said it was, and they are still spreading the lie. I hope Biden tries to bring this up during the debate so Ryan can skull drag him across the tv screen with it.

Looking to recover from his disastrous Wednesday debate performance, President Obama appears to be stealing a page from George Costanza’s public relations playbook. Obama may have sleepwalked through last night’s debate, failing to answer any of Mitt Romney best attack lines, but at a rally in Denver today he was ready with some tart responses of his own.
