Kinda related story:
When my dad was a kid his alarm clock on Saturdays was a lawn mower. My grandpa would ask my dad once to go start cutting the grass. If he didnt, my grandpa would start the mower and park it, running, outside my dad's window.

I don't mow until the dew is gone. It makes for a mess to cut wet grass!

Once the sun comes up enough to see go for it.
frick waiting til mid morning and wasting a chunk of your day just because you might anger your neighbors. IMO

I tell my staff they can sleep in on Saturday and Sunday. They start at 8:00 Sat and 11:00 Sun.

8:00. i've got a neighbor (next to next-door neighbor) that is obsessive about washing his cars every weekend. usually this is just as the sun rises because he doesn't want the sun to hit them while there is soap on them. anyway, he pulls out his blower to dry them off. depending on the season, this can go down as early as 6:00. i don't hear him but my immediate neighbor always gets pissed. subtle hints didn't work so they finally had to be more direct. he has since stopped using his blower. :csb:

At least let the dew dry so it doesn't make the grass clump up and clog your mower.

Or cut the grass more often so it isn't long enough to clump. Sharp blades help too.
