Ed Schultz was his usual apoplectic self tonight, ranting about how Romney wants to get rid of Big Bird. He actually had an "expert guest" on talking about how Big Bird is important, not just to America, but to the world.
That's what the mental midget Schultz got out of the debate: Romney wants to ensure that Big Bird will never again be seen on American televsion.
Is he seriously that stupid? Or is he feigning stupidity to hide the fact that he's just a shill for Obama?

Have you had to buy anything Elmo related lately?
As a father of 3 I can assure you that crap is expensive.
With those license fees, I promise you Elmo and Big bird will survive without my tax dollars.

Sesame Street would do just fine on Disney or Nickelodeon. No need for the taxpayer to foot the bill. If they can't hack it on cable the.n maybe the world can live without them.

Schultz is a an obnoxious blowhard, but as much as people around here may agree that PBS should be cut, Romney's comment was not the shrewdest move in the book. It certainly appealed to the base, but it provides a nice little clip for 60 second ads that make him look petty. Not saying it's fair . . . not saying PBS is off limits for cuts . . . I'm just talking about political gamesmanship.
