by making college overly affordable, college becomes obsolete.
Most people don't have the intelligence to get a legit dregree, and even if they do, they don't have the dedication to go to a 4 year college.
Bachelor degrees are the new high school diplomas.
Maybe liberal arts degrees.

Right. And, taking into account population increase, I highly doubt that there's significantly more engineers/doctors/lawyers than there used to be.
And I don't get where you're coming up with this cheap college info. Tuition is always going up. If you want to make it more affordable, the government needs to stay out of the student loan business. Let banks decide if they want to give a kid a $60k loan to take art classes at Tulane. Fewer kids going to college would drop the costs. I'd also support removing electives to save money.
