I have some Kona coffee beans from Maui that I would like to grind, but don't feel like dishing out $40-100 for a coffee grinder. Any place in/around Nola that will grind coffee beans for free or a small fee? Thanks in advance.

I know it is irritating when someone doesn't answer the question, but I don't think you have to spend this much.

I went to Cafe Envie in the quarter and gave them a sob story and they did it for me for free
they also run Bean Gallery on Carrollton if that's easier to get to

That's the blade kind, not what you want. You want all the coffee fragments to be the same size, not a mixture of powder and boulders. It takes a burr grinder to do it well.
Not cheap.

That's actually why I read up on em. For the french press you want really course ground coffee, opposite from what I thought. I figured course ground coffee would leave flavor in the bean, but apparently I was wrong.
They say to pour it off of the grounds after 5 or so minutes, I never did that either.

Best $20 grinder there is, IMO.
Works great for uniformity for the price.

Friend's parents have a timeshare. Only expenses are plane ticket, excursions and food. Still costs a little over $2k for a week in Hawaii, but well worth it.

Almost any grocery store has a grinder in the coffee section. Just tell them you forgot to grind your bean coffee last time you were there.
