| Romney changing positions (Posted on 10/5/12 at 3:29 pm)
Some call it lying, but whatever. He has a long history and record of changing positions. Many politicians change positions, but Romney appears to change fundamental positions regularly with people in his own party and the other stating this many times in the past year alone. So, my question is, is anyone concerned that Romney does not stand for anything in particular or have any particular convictions or plans, but rather will adopt whatever he perceives as giving him the best chance to "win" at politics? And yes I realize many (but not all) politicians do this to an extent. Romney just appears to do it more frequently and on central issues. Therefore I am asking do people that support Romney really care?

The election isn't about Romney it's about getting rid of Obama. We can worry about Romney once Obama is gone. One thing a time.

Are you at least going to give one example of what you are talking about?

Welcome to the Poli Board. The following passes for logic:quote:

Understood. That was the response I believe to be most accurate but was not really expecting out of the gate.

I would prefer not to as it would just divert from the original question and result in a pissing match NO MATER what example I picked to give.

I bet nobody can say with certainty where Mitt stands on anything. Anything. Think about that.

Obama is the biggest lying POS in presidential history, does that bother you? Lies During Fourth Year “Under Gov. Romney’s definition … Donald Trump is a small business.” politifact.com Because of Obamacare, “over the last two years, health care premiums have gone up — it’s true — but they’ve gone up slower than any time in the last 50 years.” politifact.com “I think it’s important for us to understand that the Fast and Furious program was a field-initiated program begun under the previous administration” abcnews.com Romney and Ryan will gut pell grants for low-income college students. Factcheck.org My budget will cut the deficit by $4 Trillion over 10 years. Factcheck.org “I am told that Governor Romney’s new running mate, Paul Ryan, might be around Iowa the next few days,” he said while in Council Bluffs, Iowa. “He is one of the leaders of Congress standing in the way. So if you happen to see Congressman Ryan, tell him how important this farm bill is to Iowa and our rural communities.” House passed bill on August 2, 2012 (Paul Ryan voted yes) The American automobile industry has come roaring back…So now I want to say what we did with the auto industry, we can do it in manufacturing across America. Let’s make sure advanced, high-tech manufacturing jobs take root here, not in China. And that means supporting investment here. Governor Romney … invested in companies that were called ‘pioneers’ of outsourcing. I don’t want to outsource. I want to insource. Forbes- Outsourcer-In-Chief: Obama Of General Motors

Yes you can. He's pro-war, he's pro-NDAA, he's pro-PATRIOT Act, he's pro-drug war, he's pro-criminalization of prostitution, he's pro-sanctions, he's pro-bailout, he's pro-border control, he's pro-income tax, he's pro-foreign spending, pro-infrastructure development subsidized by the FedGov, pro-killing American citizens without a warrant.

is anyone concerned
I think when given basically only two real choices and you know one hasnt worked and the other has promising ideas then you give that person the chance to prove themself to you. If that does work wash and repeat until you get someone worth a shite. The big problem is that we boil it down to just two people. (yea there are others but lets be real its just 2)
