I wonder if he really said that.

BTW ... is it me ... or has he been saying the same worn-out crap for about 3.5 years now?

re: Obama: 'We Don't Believe Anybody Is Entitled to Success in This Country'

quote:

"This country does not just succeed when just a few are doing well at the top," Obama said, according to a rush transcript of the remarks. "It succeeds when the middle class gets bigger. Our economy does not grow from the top-down, it grows from the middle-out. We do not believe that anybody is entitled to success in this country. But we do believe in opportunity. We believe in a country where hard work pays off and responsibilities are rewarded and everybody is getting a fair shot and everybody's doing their fair share. And everybody's paying by the same rules. That is the country believe in. That is what we have been fighting for the last four years. That is what we're going to put in place in the next four years if you reelect me as president of the United States of America."

Of all of the stupid comments Obama has made in the last four years, including "you didn't build that", this might be the stupidest of them all. I wonder what the reality of the world is like inside his head?

So 47% of the country is entitled to free shit, courtesy of the tax payers, but nobody is entitled to success.

Got it.

No. Just a free phone and free healthcare.

And a job or free money if we can't provide you the job.

And someplace to live for free, and all the food you need to become obese.

All old failed populists ideas
quote:

The right to a useful and remunerative job in the industries or shops or farms or mines of the nation;

The right to earn enough to provide adequate food and clothing and recreation;

The right of every farmer to raise and sell his products at a return which will give him and his family a decent living;

The right of every businessman, large and small, to trade in an atmosphere of freedom from unfair competition and domination by monopolies at home or abroad;

The right of every family to a decent home;

The right to adequate medical care and the opportunity to achieve and enjoy good health;

The right to adequate protection from the economic fears of old age, sickness, accident, and unemployment;

The right to a good education.
Forward to the past!

The real question is - where is all this free shite going to come from when no one is successful?

If I work my arse off to get a raise and a promotion, I'm not entitled to my pay even though I earned it? Is that what this moron is saying?

Seriously ... I think that was the first indication that he was gonna get his arse kicked in the debate ...which, he did...badly.

His opening statement (and closing) ... was nothing new ... just the same, boring, worn-out BS.

He really needs to get some new BS material.

You didn't earn that. Someone else did. There are lots of hard working people out there.

Sometimes I wonder the same thing that the poster up above asked: I wonder what reality exists in this guy's head?

It's almost like he never grew up past the emotional developmental stage of a 5 year old boy.

Did anyone notice in his closing remarks the other night he said this same quote but he misspoke and corrected himself with saying "...everybody's getting their fair share, um doing their fair share."
