I hold a strong belief that everyone should at sometime in their life be placed out of their comfort zone and be a minority. See how life is for other people not so blessed. It would humble a lot of people.

I don't know you so who knows what kind of person you are. It just means you're MORE THAN LIKELY no able to understand what it's like to struggle from birth. It's a tough spot to be in. I remember many nights where my mom and I would end up eating the free dinner at the mission. Some people use those events in life as character builders and other use them as a crutch. Not "data", just an impressive list of docs that trained at EKL in internal medicine. Multiply it across multiple specialties and sites across the state and even you may be able to appreciate that supporting residency programs may be a good idea for the state as a whole. This was posted by me previously.
