Why does anyone play ANY video game? Good time waster and a small sense of accomplishment.
Creative mode is the only way I would tackle something like this. Takes long enough to design and build. Screw trying to get the materials for it. I know that's a part of the game, but I could easily make an exception for something like this.

There's a guy doing severe modding to make a scale world with all he right kind of landscapes and topographies.
Minercraft is so simple in concept and so moddable that many a thesis or dissertation could be made with it in the computer sciences, engineering, architecture, and even psychology.

Would someone care to tell me what the craze is all about for this game. I see daily threads on it. People on facebook talking about it. It looks like something from the Atari 2600 days.
