The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows President Obama attracting support from 49% of voters nationwide, while Mitt Romney earns the vote from 47%. One percent (1%) prefers some other candidate, and three percent (3%) are undecided. See daily tracking history.
These results are based upon nightly interviews and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. As a result, only about one-third of the interviews for today’s update were conducted after the presidential debate. The single night of polling conducted after the debate did show some improvement for Romney, but it remains to be seen whether that will continue or if it was merely statistical noise. Sunday morning’s update will be the first national polling based entirely upon post-debate interviews.

No change. But the debate won't really be priced in until Monday or so. I have a hard time believing Romney doesn't pick up 2-3 on that performance.

From your link I see that Romney has moved ahead of Hussein by 1% in Virginia.

it's a 5 day rolling sample, so the effects of the debate won't show until next Tuesday or so. other polls will be more post-debate genuine, unless the increase the Dem sample even more

2. by this time next week, ads will be running in Virginia and Ohio demonstrating that Romney lied/was disingenuous/does not know his arse from hole in ground (choose one) about his 5 trillion dollar tax cut giveaway.
Dont count on the bump (of whatever size it really is today) lasting.

We both know Romney handled himself pretty damn well the other night. He was no more dishonest that most candidates have been in given debates.

I don't. That's why it's a bump. I've already recorded my opinion of the debate (ass-whooping) and my take on the race going forward (Obama still wins, probably by the same EV margin).

Any of you folks read what I posted?
1/3 of the poll results are post-debate. So, yeah... post debate numbers are included - although it's only 1/3 of the total pool. I also pointed out that the full numbers won't be released until Sunday.
