Just getting back to the thread but I think the demons go to purgatory if they are killed with something like the colt or the knife. They aren't truly killed if they go back to hell. If hell was their only option yellow eyes would still be around. They touched on it once about some of the monsters going to purgatory and coming back like the mother.

Good first episode. Excited about there being no leviathans this season. Can't wait to see where they go with this purgatory thing. For soem reason, I though they would be showing Dean in it but I guess we will get flashbacks instead.
