in germany if they catch you the cable company just slaps you with a huge bill like 800+ euro so you have to use a vpn

I have been using a VPN for about a year now.
Before VPN: 2 letters from ISP in 4 months
Since VPN: zero in a year (download more also)
Well worth it if you download all your movies and music.
I've got probably 35 BluRay movies burned.

i live in a building that's all office's, i'm the only residential unit in the building so i theif the intrawebz. my fear is i'm gonna be downloading stuff and them get cut off from their cable and then them trace it back to me.

Yeah they'd be able to see any device connected to their network if need be.
A VPN can connect a single user, so I'd say you'd be fine but I can't say for sure. The offices wouldn't know anything about it or see it, it's 100% private.

i'm only online there at night and nobody is at the offices at night so i don't think they know i'm even on there, i disconnect before when i'm done. i might try it see how it works, i just paid $18 for a audiobook on itunes and that's just not gonna work. i don't mind paying for music b/c i'll keep it but a n audiobook is worthless after i've heard it
