re: Any OB'ers Voting for Obama?

quote:

I've been a republican all my life and am very conservative so you may wish to take what I say with a grain of salt.

One issue that I have with Obama is that his campaign so far has been a campaign of division. The rich vs the poor and his entire presidency is us vs them. When Obamacare was put to vote it was 1:00 in the morning so the republican couldn't get there to vote. Everything has been so deceptive.

I'm not wealthy but I make a very good living, more than most.Right now I'm paying more in taxes, insurance and deductions than I get to bring home.

I work my arse off and typically am in the office for 50+hrs a week. If I don't work I don't get paid. It does piss me off that Obama has made his entire presidency about how the banking industry is vile, inhumane, and terrible individuals. I'm in the banking industry and deal with money mgrs and pension funds. No bond I've ever sold has gone bad and I work my arse off trying to help the people running pensions for ordinary americans but I'm somehow a bad guy.

Between my church and other charities I give alot of money away every year. I sure as hell give more than that dumbass Biden. Now Obama wants me to pay even more taxes so that people that sit at home and have no interest in looking for a job can continue to sit in their home and get a free check while I'm busting my ass.

Change out banking and add oil/gas and this is my story. Also subtract the republicrat all my life statement.

I will also add that I have no problem paying taxes. Tax is a necessary evil if you enjoy things that only tax money can provide. I do not agree with the amount I pay in tax. I am 30 something with no kids and I have never been married. My burden on society is almost non-existent.I do use the roads and bridges as well as enjoy the piece of mind that the fire department and police are always prepared to answer the phone if needed. No person in his right mind should think the amount of tax that I am liable for is justified. I feel like my vote is wasted because neither party gives a rats arse about people like myself. Both parties agree on a few basic fundamental things yet those same things are what we as a society are still lacking. It pisses me off that we are as far in debt as we are yet we still have kids that will go to bed hungry, wake up knowing they have no clean clothes, and head off to a school that almost guarantees a sub par education. Dems and repubs will agree that they both want to improve education. Repubs will piss away the money while ignoring the problem. The dems will talk about it until they find out that one of bigger issues is teachers that SUCK. They have sold out to the unions and would rather leave a teacher in place than ruffle the feathers of the union. The union will stand strong to protect that same teacher. Its all a viscous cycle that cost billions to keep it going. You ever seen a Washington politician in bankruptcy court?? The politicians sold out years ago and now it is status quo. IMO the hole hot mess is to far gone. The system needs purging and start over from scratch.

Holy shit, are you goose-stepping dittoheads still blathering on about this bullshite? This need to be moved to the poli-board along with nuanced discussion of who won the debate last night. ZZZZZzzzzz. I can't wait to see your reaction when Barry whups your boy in November.

I need to go back and see what strikes my single guerrilla-troll post drew last night.

A regular poster and you're wrong.

Not voting for Obama or Romney; far too liberal for me.

Y'all commies can keep voting against gun rights. That's not my style. Carry on.

Like I said.

quote:

Damn this shite is still going on? I held back at risk of sounding like a nut but frick it. Dont know about the rest of yall but I am ready for the war/secession. Nothing will change until then, they are both taking us in the same direction just one is doing it a warp speed. Until everyone realizes this we are just treading water. So until then I will be counting my ammo and cleaning my guns.

Ready yourself men, for the time is rapidly approaching. Will you fall by the wayside like wheat under the sickle blade? Stand strong and poised, let the fire in your chest show bright upon the tyrants face that for we are the true holder of the power and in the end are the masters of the dominion.

For do not flinch, steady your shutter. Embrace the coldness of the blade and sweet smell of the burning powder. The warmth of your foes blood spilling over your hands, the look of life fleeing their eyes. Freedom, being the furthest thing from free is what propels us to these actions, these necessities. For do not let the sacrifices of our fathers, and our fathers fathers go unsung. Our sabers rattling, our roar deafening. Their smiles and smirks will fade to grimace, for on our hands, their end we carry.

Things will have to get a whole hell of a lot worse for that to happen. Like a lot.

The last time the country was this divided we had a civil war. I could diff see BO pulling some crazy shite if he gets elected again. Something happens at the end of his 2nd term, martial law is enacted, guns confiscated for our protection and elections postponed. Amendment for unlimited terms or something similar. shite will get real quick.

I don't see that happening under Obama. What I do see is the possibility for the groundwork slowly being laid unintentionally for someone to take advantage and do that sometime in the future.

Jesus dude. We are not going to have a damn civil war. You would get an earful if you told that to someone who lives in a country that is actually on the verge of civil war. I see no signs of civil war around me. Mainly just people arguing on the internet and on TV.

Who's banned more guns during their political career?

Answer: not who you think...

I give you:

quote:

"Deadly assault weapons have no place in Massachusetts", Romney said, at a bill signing ceremony on July 1 with legislators, sportsmen's groups and gun safety advocates. "These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense. They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people." - July 1st, 2004 -- Mitt Romney

Add it to Romneycare (the framework for Obamacare) and you've got a gun banning socialist on one hand, and you've got Obama on the other.

If you vote for either one of them you're voting for more of the same as in the status quo.

The amount of delusion present in Americans amazes me. Seems like people believe the bull shite coming out of their TVS because they prefer it to reality.

So yes, vote. Vote for skittle shitting unicorns.

I withhold my consent for either socialist.

I support the US Constitution, sound currency, and personal accountability.

Neither party supports those things.
