I'm liking the mid 2000s Toyota Sequoia.
Don't want a GMC/Ford/GM/Jeep because I don't want to spend money repairing it all the time so don't tell me to buy an F150.
I have a 1998 4Runner that is the shite but i'm probably going to be passing that onto my son who just turned 15.
I see some kick-ass mid 2000s Sequoias for like $8k and given what I know about Toyotas I'm thinking thats what I want.
Thoughts?

The mid 2000 sequoias are good vehicles. My mom has a 2004 with almost 200k miles on it with no major issues thus far.

You would be safe even buying a 95-02 Land Cruiser(prequel to the Sequoia)
My uncle just bought a 97 because they are becoming somewhat of a collector's item.

i like those too..quite a bit.
i don't really want something that is starting to creep up in price due to being a 'collectible' which is why i was leaning towards sequioa.
but if its a good deal, i'm in.
my car is like an appliance. i just need something reliable that looks halfway decent and i can run the shite out of it.

When you rule out all of those, what alternatives to your beloved Sequoia did you expect to be suggested? An old Pathfinder or something? Maybe a 1995 Land Cruiser?

ps yes, they are shite. i prefer not to constantly bring mine in to be serviced. for the record, jaguars and land rovers are also pieces of shite.
