Get one of those big blue double strollers. This is a must or kids that age will wear out and start whining very quickly. YOUR KIDS ARE NOT TOO OLD FOR THIS. You will see other people with them and be soooo jelly. We had 12 year olds fighting for spots in these things.

I actually make "Unofficial" guide books for disney all the time and have never had any complaints but praise. I can make sure you barely wait in line and how to maximize your dollar on foods. ask me any question here: <-- @ gmail.com

i went last year during this time. it was not crowded at all during the week. the weekends had a lot of locals come out to the food and wine festival, but as long as you stayed away from EPCOT the crowds were very light.

I do as well and have planned more trips for friends and family than I can remember. If you have any questions OP, it looks like you have a few expert ears. Ask away. And so far there have been some really good tips.

You don't have to bring water if you don't want. You can go up to any beverage or food stand that serves drinks and get a 20 oz cup of ice water for free. Lots of people don't know this. I just got back from Disney last week. This was true at every park also btw

You should have started planning 6-8 months ago. You would be more relaxed and have a better time. You'll be bouncing around with the herd. Try not to have a melt down in front of the kids when you realize it is not relaxing. Treat it like Tiger Stadium and fill your flasks with vodka. You will need it. Order a double cheeseburger. Let you wife order just a bun. Slide the patty to her and use the topping bar to make 2 excellent burgers for the price of 1. Take your car into the park. Hotel shuttles suck balls. Good luck

If you don't mind the funky smell of Florida water. Disney is especially smelly. Bottled water is cheap but if you want to save that money it works. In Epcot ( Club Cool) you could also fill up your bottle with your favorite drink (I recommend Beverly) but it's somewhat frowned upon.

Crystal Light individual drink mix packets are the best way to overcome the park water.

It's been said multiple times, but its so important, I'm going to say it again. Go at opening, take a break mid-day and take a nap. Go back to the parks in the afternoon/evening. Even if staying offsite. This is the ONLY way to do it with young kids.

Rope drop every morning, go back to the hotel after lunch, then back to the park in the evening for the fireworks. They will get burned out if you try to stay the whole day without a break. You don't need a park hopper pass unless you plan on going to a different park in the evening.
Absolutely correct if you know your kids will tire out. I always ask people what their child's energy levels are because it makes this decision easier. Many people waste money on Park Hoppers that don't need to. Your ticket money would be better spent adding days and the non-expiring option which saves you money on tickets in the long term as ticket prices increase each year. This is of course assuming you're a regular Disney visitor and not a resident of Florida (season pass holder).
