the lines are pretty blurry between playing an album anytime you want (spotify) vs having a 'hard copy' backup you can play whenever you don't have broadband.

You can pay the monthly fee with spotify and use offline mode.
I don't get the people that are proud that they have 50,000 songs. Not like you are listening to them all.

I think spotify is a compromise, but it's drastically better than having someone get your music via torrents.
How is torrents not stealing because the person(s) being stolen from is/are wealthy though? That doesn't make sense.
